Frequently Asked Questions
How long will the battery last? |
|
The WAITEK® Shower Monitor© is supplied with an internal battery that has an expected life of up to 7 years. To conserve the battery, the WAITEK® Shower Monitor© display will be blank while the shower is not in use. Should the battery need changing, please take your WAITEK® Shower Monitor© to your nearest service agent. |
|
| How long do I get in the shower? | |
By default the WAITEK® Shower Monitor© is configured for a shower time of 8 minutes at a temperature of 38ºC with a flow of 8 LPM (litres per minute). Decreasing shower temperature and/or flow as you shower will cause the bar graph display to decrease slower (you will get a longer shower).
These default settings can be modified using the Shower Monitor©
advanced options menu, outlined in the user manual. |
|
| Will the Shower Monitor© turn my shower down or off? | |
| No, a WAITEK® Shower Monitor© does not control the shower in any way! Research has indicated that a loud beeper at the end of the shower period is sufficient encouragement for the user to turn the shower off. The purpose of a WAITEK® Shower Monitor© is to help families reduce water and energy costs by providing the information necessary for family members to shower efficiently.
